"My absolute favorite part of nonprofit work is creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to use their voice and be seen and heard. As I start this new role as your Executive Director, my mantra will be: 'The birder in me sees the birder in you.'
The combination of my love for nature and my background in writing and performance has turned me into a natural at stirring up public excitement for the Gottlieb Native Garden (and the garden’s first book, “The Gottlieb Native Garden: A California Love Story”). I introduced the garden and its mission of re-wilding our urban lands to folks at functions such as the Academy Awards pre-party, Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, P22 Day, the Theodore Payne Foundation’s Native Plant Garden Tour, and many more.
As I embark on this new feathery journey, I am hungry to learn more and more from the wonderful folks at Pasadena Audubon Society."
